As well as engine calibrations we also provide gearbox calibrations to make the most of your vehicles, both in custom form and as a XHP reseller for BMW's.


Although for stage 1 calibrations gearbox tuning is not essential we highly recommend it for stage 2 calibrations. The gearbox itself like the engine module has many restrictions that effect the power delivery. You can gain very good power from an engine calibration, but tuning the gearbox allows the full potential that we have requested by the engine.


Without the gearbox map you will hit a torque limitations, that in term will stop the engine producing past a certain point. We have also seen this cause flat spots in the power delivery although the engine calibration doesn't have the flat spots present. Once we change the gearbox limitations and the full engine potential is allowed these flat spots are removed as they are non existent in the engine calibration due to us removing them.

  • Traction based maps adjusted for better take off
  • Clutch clamping pressure
  • Kickdown speeds
  • Drive & Sports mode separate shift calibrations


In the graphs below we have shown a clear difference in tuning just the engine vs also the gearbox. The power delivery and torque curve is completely changed, all flat spots are removed, the torque delivery is at much lower RPM rather than having a laggy setup. Not to mention peak gains are much better.
